The Sussex County C.L.E.A.R. Program was honored by the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce with the prestigious Chairman’s Award at their “Quality in Business… Quality in Living” dinner on Thursday, March 24, 2017 for having made an extraordinary contribution to the County in the last twelve months.
C.L.E.A.R. is making a difference in Sussex County and was grateful to be recognized for the collaborative work being done to engage and assist people in accessing treatment and finding a path to recovery from their drug addiction. This recognition would not have been possible without the many partners and their various contributions. Newton Police Chief Michael Richards, Rachel Wallace, Director of Clinical Services and Becky Carlson, Executive Director of The Center for Prevention & Counseling, Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch and Christine Florio, the Director of the Sussex County Division of Community and Youth Services, accepted the Chairman’s Award on behalf of the Sussex County C.L.E.A.R. Program. C.L.E.A.R. has a special group of people who volunteer as recovery coaches helping to make this work possible and thanks each of them for their dedication to this effort.
Lastly, the program is committed to assisting all of the individuals and their family members in need of help. It takes courage to walk into a police department looking for assistance with a substance use problem but help is available for those wanting to take that step.
